And get this...I EVEN SOLD A PRODUCT ALREADY! TPT is such a win-win: I have fantastic products for my own classroom AND I get to share them with you!  I have had so much fun with this already and cannot wait to keep improving my store.

FREEBIE TIME! The first 5 people to comment with the name of an item from my store and their email address will get that product for FREE!  Check out my store here!

It's been a while...

Well, I said I would post pictures of my students' End of the Year Brochures (okay, I said it 3 months ago, but I never said when I would post them!) so here I am to share them finally!

When my new fourth graders walked into my classroom on First Day, I had a table placed by the door with these brochures.  There was a sign (not pictured) that explained these brochures were created by last year's fourth grade students for them.  My students were so excited to learn about fourth grade and about their teacher!  Here were a couple responses...

I was very busy this summer being on vacation and all, but like all teachers, I did do a lot of work!  Not only did I work with the fourth grade team in my district to align our curriculum to the Common Core, I totally revamped my classroom!  I'd have to say, the new layout and decorations make my classroom much more welcoming and it is a more friendly learning environment.

Here are a few pictures of my newly decorated classroom!

A chevron welcome banner I created

My whiteboard (from First Day)

Front bulletin boards

"I Can" Statement posters I created

CAFE Board

View from the back of the room

Tissue paper pom-poms

My classroom library

How my students found their seats

I will post more pictures later!  I also reorganized my room and am SO excited about it!

How are all of your classrooms looking?!  I would love to see pictures!  Comment below with links to your blog :)

End of the Year Brochure

I absolutely cannot believe it.  School is over on Friday (on FRIDAY!) and I'm not quite sure where my first year of teaching has gone.  There were plenty of times this year that I felt like I wouldn't make it and now I don't want it to be over!

Tomorrow we are supposed to take a field trip to a one room schoolhouse but it's looking like we might be rained-out.  However, I am actually excited to potentially have the extra time in my classroom with my kiddos because I just bought this fabulous end of the year packet from Little Lovely Leaders.

I already printed class sets of four activities from this packet and I am crossing my fingers that I have the time to get to them.  There is one activity that I am going to have my students do no matter what, though - a class brochure!

The entire packet can be bought here.

I think that this brochure is a perfect way to let my students (and me) reflect.  It gives my students an opportunity to think about their favorite activities and it gives them a chance to share their knowledge with the incoming 3rd grade students.  I'm really excited to see what they have to say and see what has stuck with them this year.  Honestly, I think it's an even better opportunity for me to reflect on the year! Although I am kind of scared to see what some of them have to say... Eek!

Plus, how cute will it be to have next year's class walk in and see these?!

Clearly, I'm hoping for bad good weather tomorrow! ;)  I'll be sure to post pictures of some of their masterpieces when they are done!
